The economic and regulatory environment in which hospitals compete has become increasingly complex in recent years. Some experts estimate that in the next decade drug costs will rise from 5-10% of the hospital's total budget to nearly 20-25%. The majority of the increase will be a direct result of expensive new drug therapies.

The Clinical Consulting Program is unique in combining the efforts of pharmacy with various other hospital disciplines to manage drug usage and costs. Our Clinical Coordinator will work with your Director of Pharmacy and pharmacy staff on a regular basis. The hospital will receive additional services from the pharmacy without the costs associated with hiring a full-time clinical pharmacist. This program is designed to integrate pharmacy staff members with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare personnel to build a stronger working relationship aimed at enhanced patient care.
